Our Story
Advanced Coatings opened in Redmond, Oregon in 2013. Owners Gene and Grant built the shop from the ground up into the only full-service coating facility in Central Oregon, combining certified Cerakote application, powder coating, hydrographics, aviation coatings, mil-spec finishes, and volume OEM production under one roof.
Most customers do not need a different vendor for each finish type. They need one shop that can handle the whole scope, hold consistent quality across every part in a production run, and ship on schedule. That is what Advanced Coatings was built to do, and it is why national OEM brands source their coating work here rather than closer to their home markets.
The facility operates with robotics-assisted lines for volume OEM work and 24/7 production capacity. Customers range from individual firearms owners to major national manufacturers. Finished parts ship across the US, Canada, and internationally to Europe and Asia. Redmond’s central location in Oregon makes inbound shipping straightforward for customers across the Pacific Northwest.

The Cerakote Certified Applicator credential is issued by NIC Industries, the manufacturer behind the Cerakote product line. Certified applicators are trained and audited against NIC’s standards for surface preparation, application process, and finishing quality across H-Series, C-Series high-temp, and Elite finish families. For customers choosing between coating shops, this certification is the clearest external signal of application competency.

This is a coated rail component finished for a local fire crew. It is the kind of work that does not appear in a product catalog: parts that go into demanding service and need to hold up without maintenance attention. That means consistent surface prep and a finish applied to spec, every time.
Our customers include OEM manufacturers shipping production runs, custom builders, military and public safety users, and individual owners sending in a single firearm or wheel. The prep, application, and finishing process is the same for every job. A production run of 500 parts and a single custom firearm go through the same surface preparation steps and quality checks.

Facility
The facility is located at 810 NE Hemlock Avenue in Redmond, OR, roughly 15 minutes north of Bend. Parts arrive by customer drop-off or inbound shipping from anywhere in the US or Canada. Most projects ship back within 5–10 business days. Every project is quoted individually, and we aim to return a quote within 24 hours of contact.
The shop handles work across five coating disciplines, all under one roof: Cerakote, powder coating, hydrographics, aviation coatings, mil-spec finishes, plus volume OEM production.
